Acceptance

By creating an account and using Threshold, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

Threshold is a personal finance tool that helps you understand how much money is safe to spend based on the financial information you provide. It is not a bank, financial advisor, or credit reporting agency.

The safe-to-spend number and projections Threshold provides are estimates based on the data you enter. They are not guarantees of account balances or financial outcomes. You are responsible for verifying your actual balances with your financial institution.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@threshold.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be 18 or older to use Threshold.

Subscriptions and billing

Threshold is offered on a subscription basis — monthly ($7.99/month) or annual ($59.99/year) — after a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) attempt to access another user's data; (b) use the service to store illegal content; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service; (d) use automated tools to create accounts or send requests at scale.

Financial disclaimer

Threshold does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The coach feature provides conversational guidance based on data you enter, but it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Always verify important financial decisions with your bank or a licensed advisor.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including financial decisions made in reliance on the information the service provides.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
